Sub Ohm Vape Coils
A sub ohm coil has a resistance below 1.0 ohm. Most are mesh coils run at higher wattage for direct-to-lung (DTL) or restricted direct-to-lung (RDTL) vaping, and several are listed for high VG e-liquids. Sub Ohm Tank Coils
For sub ohm tanks, the lowest resistance here is the 0.14 ohm Uwell Valyrian III dual mesh coil, and the original Valyrian 0.15 ohm quad coil is rated at 95-120W. GeekVape Z Series and M Series, Uwell Crown 5, Vaporesso GT Core and Aspire Cleito coils all have options between 0.15 and 0.5 ohm for more vapour and a looser draw. Uwell lists its Crown X and Valyrian coils as best with high VG e-liquids (70% VG or higher).
Sub Ohm Pod Kit Coils
Several pod kits in our range take sub ohm coils. SMOK RPM 3 coils (0.15 and 0.23 ohm) fit the RPM 5 and Nord 5, Voopoo PnP X coils fit PnP X pods, and GeekVape Aegis Boost and P Series coils fit the Aegis Boost and Aegis Boost Pro. Coils from 0.6 to 0.9 ohm, such as the SMOK LP1, LP2 and Nord MTL options or the Innokin Prism S mesh coil, give a tighter draw and are labelled for MTL or RDL vaping.
How to choose a sub ohm coil
- Check your device first: a coil only fits the tanks or pods listed on its product page.
- Lower resistance generally means more vapour and a more open draw. For a tighter draw, look at 0.6 to 0.9 ohm options.
- Stay within the listed wattage, for example 60-75W for the Aspire Cleito Pro mesh coil or 18-23W for the Voopoo DW60.
