MTL and Standard Vape Coils
Standard coils have a higher resistance than sub ohm coils, which sit below 1.0 ohm. They are mostly used for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping, where you draw vapour into your mouth first for a tighter draw. This collection groups the coil packs we stock that include MTL or higher-resistance options.

Pod Kit Coils
For pod kits, the Uwell Caliburn G and G2 coils come in packs of 4 at 0.8, 1.0 and 1.2 ohm, and the SMOK Nord coils fit the original Nord Pod Kit with regular, ceramic, mesh and mesh MTL builds, including DC 0.8 ohm MTL and Pro Meshed 0.9 ohm MTL options. Voopoo's ITO coils use a push-fit mesh design and come in 1.0 and 1.2 ohm.
Tank Coils
Innokin makes most of the tank coils here. The Endura T20 Prism coils and Prism S coils are listed for mouth-to-lung vaping, iSub coils use a No Spill Coil Swap system with a built-in 510 pin, and Zenith coils fit the Zenith tank. Vaporesso GTX coils cover MTL, RDTL and DTL vaping across a wide resistance range and are listed for high VG, 50/50 and nic salt e-liquids.
How to choose a standard coil
- Match the coil to your device first: a coil only fits the tanks or pods it is made for.
- Pick the resistance next. Higher resistances, such as 1.2 to 2.0 ohm, give a tighter draw; 0.8 to 1.0 ohm is a little more open.
- Choose an e-liquid that suits the coil, such as nic salt e-liquids or 50/50 e-liquids, and check the coil page for guidance.
- For lower resistances and direct-to-lung vaping, browse all vape coils.
